After ploughing 1,500 ha of our land we have begun the seeding process. We are going to be planting alfalfa, barley and wheat.

The harvest process of barley and wheat is now complete. Ploughing has begun, as we are preparing our field for next season.

Cotton Harvest
1st stage of cotton picking has been completed on our cotton fields. We are currently entering the 2nd stage of picking for the cotton bolls that opened and dried later.

Barley and Wheat Seeding
We have completed the seeding of 940 ha of barley and are about to complete the seeding of 270 ha of wheat. The first irrigation cycle is already underway and will be completed around mid-December.

Corn Harvest
We have successfully completed the harvest of our first experimental corn crop on 69 ha. We have moved on to ploughing and preparing the soil there for subsequent seeding of wheat.

Preparations for cotton harvest
First cotton crop on our land plot was succesfull. We began spraying defoliant on the plants this week and are well underway to start the harvest in the beginning of October.

Corn Crop Progress
We seeded an early maturity Pioneer variety of corn in mid-June, immediately after the barley harvest and will be harvesting our first corn crop very soon.

Wheat harvest has started
We are finished with the barley harvest and are starting to harvest wheat. We are looking forward to achieving our target yields.

We are beginning to harvest 1306 hectares of barley. The moisture content of the product is low enough and our team is fully prepared for the harvest.

Strong performance on one of our plots with a local variety of wheat. We have completed all of the fertilization and irrigation for this crop cycle.

Texas A&M University Cooperation
For the second year in a row, Texas A&M Seniors visited the GFA farmbase and head office to work on their capstone project. Final projects will be turned in on May 12th

Appearance of crops shoots
At the moment, there is active emergence of barley and wheat in the fields. Healthy crop development is observed.

We started seeding barley and wheat on 1487 ha of land. Testing 4 different types of seed and various fertilization rates.

Fall Season Preparations
We are preparing for fall season at our Bilasuvar location. During the past few months we have successfully completed creation of drainage and irrigation networks, construction of on-farm facilities, procurement of farm machinery and equipment.

Corn Plot in Aghsu
We are providing agronomy and management services to a client in Aghsu, who is planting maize for the first time. GFA helped source all inputs (seeds, chemicals, fertilizer) and is currently managing every operation from soil preparation to harvest.

Texas A&M University Cooperation
GFA sponsored a capstone project for final year students from Texas A&M University. Students visited Azerbaijan in April, 2018 to present their solutions of the Bilasuvar Project.

Mashtaga Fig and Apricot Orchard
GFA is providing agronomical services to a fig and apricot producer in the Mashtaga settlement of Baku. The orchard has approximately 400 fig trees and 200 apricot seedlings. We monitor every facet of production from crop protection to harvest.
